When we search outside of ourselves for the answers, we open ourselves up to the influence of the outside world.
We are influenced by the outside world all the time. But it becomes more of an insidious relationship when we actively participate in the influence, through willfully asserting the answers must and can only come from outside of ourselves.
We open up channels for external energy to funnel into us when we seek so fervently beyond our own energetic vortex or code.
It’s kinda like we send this big ole message out into the ether: “Hey y’all – if you wanna come in here and push whatever narrative or belief or thought cycles into me, even if they don’t fit me or serve my trajectory, that’s cool. Giver!”
One of the major areas of the body that is influenced is the human mind. We can be influenced from many areas of the body. In fact certain areas are more prone to influence depending on our specific energetic code.
But the human mind is a major area, and as such, it needs healing, big time. Fortunately for us, we are beginning a 20 year cycle that commands we empower the human mind – that we discover its power through the process of understanding how our minds have been and continue to be, manipulated.
It’s humble pie time. Because this cycle entails us accepting that our minds have been controlled & influenced beyond our comprehension. This is the place we really don’t wanna go, because it feels intolerable, to think we could have been duped to such an extent. But we must venture into this arena, in order to access the power within and throughout the discovery process.
Right now, our mental energy is a mess. It’s overly influenced and being highjacked by various factions of polarized movements that have one thing in common: they are immovable and refuse to see things any way other than how they want to see them.
More than possessing an unwillingness to see beyond a specific view, polarized movements and factions refuse to accept someone else having a different view.
They embody intolerance of any and all views that don’t align with their way of seeing the world. A viewpoint which is directly controlled & steered by parental, ancestral & societal conditioning.
What’s more, extreme polarized factions refuse to objectively analyze views and ideas in the name of learning or understanding, blanketing all opposing views as evil, terrorist driven, or whatever synonym for bad or wrong their movement of choice has suggested they use.
How can we know anything with finality when we have been so controlled & conditioned by media, history books & our ancestral lineage’s trauma signatures?
The more we open up to influence from other people and agendas that are chaotic, the more of a mess we make of our minds.
So if we cannot rely on these external sources, people, movements, we have inner work to do. That work begins with cleaning up the mental interference we’ve opened ourselves up to by being too dependent on external sources.
I want to bring you back to the beginning of this post, where I mentioned the idea of a funnel.
Consider that often, what we really need in order to heal is a small dose of the very thing that hurt us, in order to consciously witness & heal the wound.
I think about homeopathic medicine and how it brings about healing in the body through subtle energies associated with the very thing that caused the imbalance.
The archetype of astrological Chiron is another way into understanding this: Chiron transits often entail us coming face to face with our core wounding. This can be deeply painful but it offers the gift of bringing us to a greater level of understanding of the purpose of the wound, and what it has to teach us about ourselves & our path in life.
So if our adherence to specific group think practices has created a funnel into our minds that allows for us to be externally controlled by a rigid thought contagion, we can utilize this symbol of a funnel to clear out the external influence.
If the funnel allows for energy to come in, we can use the funnel to clear the energy out.
It’s super simple. And if you commit to working on this, once a day every day, the effects will become more and more powerful.
That is, the effects will build upon the previous effort.
1 – Visualize a spinning funnel, in the shape of an ice-cream cone (reference image below). See the funnel as either silver or gold – whatever feels like the right fit for you. I like silver. Try both and see how you feel.
2 – See the funnel spinning in the space just above your head. You might want to play with how far above your physical head you visualize it spinning. This space, though not attached to the body from a physical viewpoint, is part of your energetic aura – it has the capacity to connect you with the frequencies of collective thoughts & group think. You can pull in other people’s thoughts & collective frequencies here. We tend to open it wider when we feel afraid, trying to grasp a degree of understanding of the what we are fearful of. This default tends to make the energy of this area kind of messy, and filled with frequencies that can cause confusion. The funnel visualization helps us clean up the area and seal it.
3 – Spend some time seeing with the minds eye the funnel spinning in this area above your head, while affirming within (or out loud if that resonates with you) that this work you are doing is healing, clearing, cleaning and sealing this channel that connects you with the collective mental realms.
4 – Take 3 deep breathes, in and out, slowly, deep into the belly. Smile. Give thanks for your capacity to heal yourself.
5 – Repeat this practice daily, and whenever you feel mental interference via signs of mental agitation, compulsive behaviours, or overthinking/obsessive thought patterns.
I find this practice super accessible. It’s simple and effective. It’s specifically helpful for people who have a lot of air in their astrological chart – if they have a propensity for relying heavily on the mind, they will be using it as a seeking device, which inevitably leads to this mental channel being open to more interference and confusion. They will literally draw in confusing frequencies on their own accord.
This funnel type visualization can be used throughout the body and aura, too. In fact, it’s best to do the entire body in this way, as a body-wide energetic refresh, starting at the root chakra, and moving up ward. In this way, all the areas become rebalanced, so they work together more effectively.
This funnel symbol can be used just about anywhere. You can even use it to energetically refresh your home, office, yard. Just picture a whirlpool like symbol moving through the area you want to energetically clean up. You’ll be surprised at how it changes the vibe of the space.
