What matters gets disrupted, so we do it differently.
Maybe we need to be more self reliant in some way. Maybe something needs to surface that couldn’t, and the force of a recent event(s) helped you see it.
Either way, something within is surfacing. And it’s forming the ingredients of a new identity – a new personal philosophy.
A new moon is an opportunity to reinvent yourself. There is always the core you, but there are elements of all of us that we may want to improve or do differently. A new moon’s energy assists with that process.
Virgo speaks to making a commitment to something important. Because it’s a sign associated with becoming really dang good at something. It’s associated with quality, but humbly so – that requires commitment to taming the ego’s want to be seen & celebrated, and to keep doing the work, bit by bit, because it matters for reasons beyond public accolades.
Virgo is conscious of what isn’t working well. When you’re really embodying this energy, it may feel intolerable to be around the dysfunction in the world. There are many charlatans, claiming to be great at things. But simple observation of their actions proves they aren’t.
It’s challenging. Especially if you’ve got something you covet and are so passionate about, but aren’t being seen, or are hesitant to share it – to be of service through that channel.
It’s one thing to notice someone’s errors – it’s another to interfere with the way their errors inform their life’s journey.
Errors are teachers – for them. In trying to eradicate their errors by emphasizing them at length, you may be the force that prematurely removes someone from a life experience that speaks to the unfoldment of a greater spiritual process, planned long before start was pressed on the film they are starring in.
This new moon is a good time to make a commitment to ourselves, intending to offer what we do well, to the world. In service to something beyond us. Knowing that if it’s coming from the heart, it’s good already. There is goodness there.
Maybe you’ve been holding onto a bounty of self criticism that belongs to others – holding too much of the analytical edge. Maybe you’re feeling frustrated, that people who have business cards stating they offer a specific skill, aren’t doing that job very well. Maybe you’ve not been addressing the critical nature that lives in you and it’s been leading your life for too long – it’s not practical. Maybe you have to face it, because it’s getting in the way of what you need.
And maybe you can inform your intentions to be of service this new moon, in whatever way you do, with so much damn grace and reverence for yourself that you release the grips of criticism enough to focus on a vision you have, from the heart, for offering what you do to the world, and enter the arena that needs you.
It might also be a moment to notice how, when it becomes too much to hold, self criticism gets projected on everyone “out there.” And how that isn’t a moment to shame, it’s a moment to say, “Yep – there is a lot of silliness going on out there. It’s OK to see it. Cuz it’s there. But loving myself is more important than focusing on that.”
Love is such a big theme right now because Venus, the planet of love, is the only dang planet that’s not retrograde. It’s a celestial life raft as so many areas of our lives and the world are being revised & reworked, helping us to focus on the prosperity associated with the heart centre – of what it can do, for us and the world.
This new moon is about awakening to the spiritual dimension of reality, through the sacred flame of the heart. It speaks to death, rebirth and renewal. It feels especially powerful. The events leading up to it have an importance to them – they are foundational in some way.
Time will tell what unfolds. But having a vision for your day to day life does something – it influences the quality of time. Themes of rejection have power – they can fuel our need to claim what we need, from a well deep within us.
So can committing to the work we are here to do, instead of giving ourselves over to the inner critic that will never be satisfied with our best efforts. Which isn’t practical.
Noticing that what feels restrictive within us is a message, telling us to activate the healing energy of the heart. To live from that space, daily. It’s the messenger. It’s the area of devotion. This is where the power of our focus manifests for the greatest good, harming none.
